I’m a software engineer who’s been developing software professionally for 20 years. I studied computer science at MIT, and have been programming as a hobby since I was a kid.

My specialty is designing and developing backend systems. I strive to make software that is fast, reliable, and efficient. During my 12 years working at Google, I worked on various teams across Maps, Ads, and Search.

I decided to pursue independent consulting 5 years ago. My clients have ranged in size from sole proprietorships to billion dollar corporations. I’m currently working on the Go implementation of Adaptive’s Aeron messaging system. Since my work is ‘under the hood’, I don’t have a portfolio page like some of my frontend peers. Instead, I have compiled a page of testimonials from former coworkers and clients.
